GREENUP, Ky. – Winner of the 2008 Governor’s Award as Ohio’s number one artist, singer-songwriter Steve Free will be appearing at Greenbo Lake State Resort Park on FRIDAY July 18, 2008.
Steve Free’s performance at the park’s Anglers’ Cove Restaurant will begin at 6:30 p.m. The event promises to be an evening of fine food and musical entertainment.
Free has been a Grammy nominee and received seven ASCAP awards for his songs. He was also honored with Ohio Governor’s Arts Awards in 1996 and 2000.
Free will start performing the first Friday of every month in August 2008 at Anglers’ Cove Restaurant.
Greenbo Lake State Resort Park is on KY 1, 18 miles north of I-64 from the Grayson exit or 8 miles south of U.S. 23, “The Country Music Highway,” on KY 1. Greenbo Lake features the Jesse Stuart Lodge with 36 rooms, a gift shop, and Anglers’ Cove Restaurant. The park has a 225-acre lake for boating and fishing, tennis courts, and 25 miles of multi-use trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. Its newly renovated campground is scheduled to open July 1. Greenbo Amphitheatre features musical concerts and plays during the summer and fall.
